Business Partner
Chef Marco is a retired military veteran with a combined 30+ years in cooking, culinary arts, and entrepreneurship. He possesses a Bachelor’s degree in Culinary Management/ Hospitality, a Master’s in Public Health and Post Graduate degree in Nonprofit Management. Mr. Flakes is a consummate of excellence and a subject matter expert in the food industry. His expertise is utilized at Build a Pizza.
Executive Chef & Founder
Certified in Culinary Arts from The Illinois Institute of Art–Chicago, Chef D moved to Houston in 2009 to pursue her dream of building a family-rooted catering business. With a foundation in safety and love, she launched, D’s Family Kitchen in 2015. For 8 years, she served the community. IN 2020, she launched Build a Pizza, LLC, a trademarked innovation that’s reshaping how families enjoy pizza. Her journey blends culinary creativity, entrepreneurship, and community impact. From teaching middle school culinary arts in 2023 to planning to expand her shaped pizzas and colorful cheeses into grocery stores in the near future, Chef D continues to lead with her signature motto: Family. Food. Friends. Love.
HR Coordinator
Manage payroll, team time & management, and tax control. Normesha has her Associate’s degree in Science and continuing her Bachelor’s degree in Bio Molecular Science. She’s dedicated to our team and the success of the company with Safety as a top priority. She loves animals and owns 3 cats & foster pets to keep them safe.
